Exide Technologies Revamps Commercial Vehicle Battery Line-Up to Drive Performance and Sustainability

Exide Technologies, a leading company in the development of battery storage systems in the world market. They have given a significant reorganization of their Commercial Vehicle (CV) battery portfolio. The launched line-up features an updated product line, a new label design, and refined performance metrics to meet the emerging needs of the transportation and logistics market. The strategic redesign highlights Exide's focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer-centricity. So that fleet operators and technicians obtain reliable, durable, and environmentally-friendly power solutions.

The new CV line starts in September and offers a dedicated approach to design, combining innovative technology with a user-friendly environment. Exide has simplified its product family into four unique ranges, namely GEL PRO, EFB PRO, SHD PRO, and HD PRO, each with unique performance requirements. Color-coded labels and more direct naming conventions are also included in the rebranding to make products easier to identify by customers and installers. Outside the field of aesthetics, the initiative is a stronger push toward better lifecycle, reduced environmental impact, and improved cost of ownership for commercial fleets that must operate under increasingly challenging conditions.

Exide has also enhanced the Online Battery Finder system to make product selection easier, alongside technical advances. This update is also centered on the company's renewed focus on maintaining sustainability. Exide has also presented black plastic lids and casings composed of high proportions of recycled material, which strengthens its adherence to the principles of circular manufacturing. Its European plants have been modernized to accommodate more automation and better quality assurance, which makes all its products uniform. Since global sustainability norms are still evolving, Exide's shift towards a more circular battery design has become a standard in the battery manufacturing industry.
