The increasing influence of China on the European electric vehicle (EV) market led GAC Group to officially introduce its Aion V brand of electric SUV into the global market. It will be the third European market to receive GAC vehicles after Poland and Portugal. The introduction highlights the company's consistent development in implementing its European Market Plan. This is the pillar of GAC's mission to establish itself as a globally diversified player in the sphere of sustainable mobility. GAC has entered Finland by blending the best of Chinese engineering with European performance, safety, and environmental awareness.
The AION V is carefully designed to align with the overall values of sustainability, safety, and functionality for Finnish consumers. They are critical in the region where the innovation of automotive preferences is eco-conscious. The car is rated as a five-star safety car by Euro NCAP, reflecting GAC's commitment to upholding the highest standards of occupant and pedestrian protection. The AION V operates on a new generation of battery system engine by GAC, featuring a WLTP range of up to 510 kilometers and the ability to charge to 80% in just 24 minutes, supported by ultra-fast charging. Such a fast-charging option, along with the fast-growing EV charging network in Finland, makes the AION V specifically attractive to those drivers who travel long distances through the Nordic environment.
Since launching its European Market Plan at the Paris Motor Show, GAC has rapidly expanded its operations in Europe. The long-term plan of the company is to develop strong distribution channels, local service stations, and relationships for charging and battery recycling. These efforts would bring about smooth customer experiences and aid in the development of electric mobility in Europe, which GAC aspires to. This European expansion is also a template for future increases in North America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the emergence of Chinese automakers is likely to accelerate the pace of affordability, efficiency, and intelligent mobility systems worldwide.
