In September 2026, Lenovo introduced various consumer and enterprise devices at its Innovation World Event at IFA 2026 held in Berlin, Germany. It also increased the presence of its Qira personal AI assistant across various hardware, uses, and sectors. Some of the launches include Nvidia RTX Spark-based creator laptops, color-prioritizing consumer desktops, pen-based Android tablets, novel commercial PCs and displays, and proof-of-concept mobile phones. A range of Motorola products, including the very first wearable device developed by the company with Qira support, was also launched.

This launch highlights the Hybrid AI Strategy that Lenovo is following, as it brings together native personal AI across various interfaces with enterprise AI systems developed to assist companies in gaining valuable insights from their data. The eligible Lenovo PCs that have 16 GB of memory now have Qira support, increasing its presence beyond high-memory configurations. The company now provides Qira to over 80 compatible desktop configurations in its enterprise and consumer lineup, along with eligible tablets and Motorola mobile phones.

Motorola Edge, razr, and hallmark products will be equipped with Motorola Qira when they receive the Android 17 upgrade. The first wearable device that will support Qira will be the Moto Watch Ultra. It will enable users to raise their wrists or use an audio instruction to ask queries and get information. The joint venture with Workato has enabled Qira to be compatible with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Slack, Outlook Mail, and Outlook Calendar. Lenovo has also partnered with Notion and is enhancing the Perplexity integration of Qira. It uses a hybrid approach with priority given to native processing whenever possible. In circumstances when cloud computing services are needed, it sends only the prompt and the related required data through encrypted channels.

Impact on the Information and Communication Technology Industry

According to Precedence Research, the launch of a new range of consumer and commercial electronics devices and next-generation technologies is expected to modernize the information and communication technology industry. These solutions represent significant advancements in terms of processing capability, displays, and various other capabilities. It also features a higher presence of AI technologies provided in the devices. This is consistent with the strategy reported by the company that they will increase the integration of next-generation technologies in their upcoming devices.

Impact on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chipsets

The global artificial intelligence (AI) chipsets market size accounted for USD 94.53 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 121.89 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 931.26 billion by 2034, expanding at a CAGR of 28.94% from 2025 to 2034.

According to Precedence Research, the introduction of a range of consumer and enterprise electronics devices and advanced technologies is expected to boost the demand for AI chipsets. The processor chips needed for AI systems are significantly different than those needed for regular digital applications. Qira prioritizes native processing, which requires the device chip to be updated so that it can store a large amount of data and provide the necessary computing power.

Impact on the Cybersecurity Market

The global cybersecurity market size was valued at USD 301.91 billion in 2025, calculated at USD 339.96 billion in 2026, and is expected to reach around USD 969.45 billion by 2035. The market is expanding at a solid CAGR of 12.37% over the forecast period 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the launch of a range of consumer and commercial electronics devices is expected to positively impact the cybersecurity market. There have been several technical reports that clearly mention that the native processing of AI causes the AI model to bypass certain authorization checks that a conventional operating system sets. This can cause data privacy issues and infiltration of malicious files, which can damage the device. Cybersecurity teams in large technology corporations would be prompted to develop solutions that address this issue.

Expert Opinion

Senior officials at Lenovo noted that personal AI should be proactive and compatible across various devices. It needs to have the capability of formulating a pathway to perform a task across the agents, applications, and solutions that the user chooses. They also said that creative work often requires operations across many applications, devices, and means of communication.

The new range of laptops launched by the company combines highly capable native computing, form factors with excellent flexibility, and a customized experience across multiple devices. The newly introduced tablets enable users to develop ideas using pen, voice, vision, and touch. These laptops and tablets make it easy for users to continue their work across multiple devices seamlessly.
