Micro-X Limited, a global leader in miniaturized X-ray technology, launched its new, improved Rover mobile X-ray system. The next-generation Rover platform comprises enhancements intended to improve workflow efficiency and the user experience in a clinical setting. The new Rover features the Lumen glass-free high-resolution detector, in-bin charging, a larger high-definition touchscreen, enhanced serviceability, and a smaller stowage footprint. These aspects enable high-quality, fast, point-of-care imaging, especially in the limited space of hospitals and in bedside diagnostics.

The Rover's design still utilizes Micro-X's proprietary Nano Electronic X-ray Technology, enabling it to achieve the highest level of digital radiography performance. This provides ultra-lightweight mobility, enabling healthcare workers to maneuver around hospital floors and lifts with ease. The new in-bin charging solution has eliminated the need for external cabling, which would have consumed time and kept the device from being immediately available to the clinician.
The Rover is lightweight and motor-free, allowing clinicians to navigate tight hospital corridors, lifts, and bedside settings without compromising stability or image quality. The larger high-definition touchscreen offers a more intuitive interface, facilitating image capture, review, and annotation. Additionally, the system's increased serviceability reduces maintenance downtime, providing a stable solution to the high-demand workflow.
The proprietary Lumen glass-free detector from Micro-X delivers high-resolution images at the lowest weight and power consumption. These technological advancements demonstrate that Micro-X has committed to combining functionality and imaging performance. This modern technology will enable quality, quick decisions at the point of care. The Rover also enables clinicians to quickly assess image quality, tune settings, and share data across the hospital network. Furthermore, through its innovations, Micro-X is strengthening its commitment to providing affordable, high-quality imaging solutions worldwide.
Kingsley Hall, CEO, Micro-X
“Our updated Rover is designed to make clinicians’ work easier and more efficient. By pairing an advanced detector with smarter charging and a redesigned user interface while maintaining the same ultra-lightweight mobility, we’re redefining what’s possible for bedside and point-of-care X-ray imaging. We are excited to showcase these innovations at RSNA and demonstrate how Micro-X is transforming diagnostic workflows worldwide.
