In September 2026, SentinelOne expanded its Wayfinder Frontier AI Services with new code risk analysis and compromise assessment capabilities powered by frontier AI models from OpenAI. The company said the expanded services will use OpenAI’s GPT-5.6-Cyber alongside SentinelOne’s existing models to help identify exploitable risks, assess potential compromises, and analyze malware.

The AI-powered code risk analysis capability scans customer repositories for vulnerabilities, malicious code implants, exposed secrets and supply-chain risks. Where a potentially malicious sample is identified, AI-assisted workflows can support disassembly and deobfuscation, combining static and sandbox analysis to assess its capabilities, persistence and command-and-control activity.

SentinelOne said its AI security and research teams have evaluated public and private AI models across cybersecurity tasks through its participation in OpenAI’s Daybreak Defense Network. The company also said that its recent testing found OpenAI’s GPT-5.6-Cyber performed strongly in reverse engineering and analysis of malware, including military-grade malware such as fast16.

The compromise assessment capability analyses security telemetry against detection rules to identify potential gaps, including risks associated with VPNs and proxies, remote-management tools, and other dual-use software. Findings are ranked by exploitability and validated by security analysts.

The expansion also comes as frontier AI models become increasingly capable of identifying security issues that traditional signatures and scanners can miss. The company said the challenge for security teams is no longer simply generating larger lists of vulnerabilities, but determining which exposures are reachable by an attacker within a specific enterprise environment.

Impact on the AI Market

Wayfinder Frontier AI Services combine frontier AI models with SentinelOne’s offensive and defensive security teams. The approach is intended to produce a prioritized assessment of security risks along with remediation guidance, rather than adding another backlog of vulnerabilities for security teams to investigate.
The new AI-powered code risk analysis capability will help to scan customer repositories for OWASP-class vulnerabilities, code implants, exposed secrets, and supply-chain risks. It is also designed to identify not only whether a vulnerability exists, but whether an attacker can reach it within the customer's environment. When a scan identifies a potentially malicious sample, AI-assisted workflows can support disassembly and deobfuscation while combining static and sandbox evidence to assess the sample's capabilities, persistence mechanisms, and command-and-control behavior.

Impact on the Cybersecurity Services Market

The global cybersecurity services market size is estimated at USD 177.27 billion in 2025 and predicted to increase from USD 188.66 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 328.32 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.36% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the government and private sectors are spending large amounts on cybersecurity systems to prevent cyber risks. Cybersecurity services secure confidential data for the BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and government sectors. Instances of cyber threats are rising continuously, raising concerns among businesses. As cyber threats are becoming more and more sophisticated, businesses are actively choosing well-developed security systems.
The use of artificial intelligence is also helping cybersecurity companies address new security risks. Artificial intelligence (AI) allows quick analysis of a lot of data so that anomalies can be noticed shortly after they occur. Thanks to predictions, the organization can act fast and prevent damage or loss. The growing number and difficulty of cyber threats encourage businesses to rely more on AI to avoid data breaches and stay in line with stringent regulations.

Impact on the AI in Cybersecurity Market

The global artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity market size accounted for USD 29.64 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 35.40 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 167.77 billion by 2035, representing a CAGR of 18.93% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, several cybercriminal enterprises have already invested in automation, machine learning, and AI to introduce large-scale, directed cyberattacks against companies as the number of threats and the risk of ransomware attacks continue to increase all over the world. The growing number of cyberattacks targeting high-tech firms, defense organizations, and government agencies further highlights the demand for sophisticated AI-driven solutions. Such advancements aim to address evolving challenges in securing sensitive data and critical infrastructure.

AI also plays a vital role in the market by facilitating the proliferation of 5G technology and the rising demand for cloud-based security solutions among small and medium-sized organizations. Artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is currently gaining popularity to secure information. Because end users are anticipated to embrace AI in cybersecurity to address security concerns and spot new types of assaults that can occur at any time, the market for artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is growing quite steadily. AI is also now being leveraged to reduce dwell time, improve SOC efficiency, and enhance predictive risk that is present all across dynamic attack surfaces. As threat actors utilize AI to exploit vulnerabilities, defensive systems are actively evolving to counter them with machine learning, behavioral analytics, and autonomous investigation capabilities.

Expert Opinion

“Attackers are increasingly using AI to find and exploit weaknesses with greater speed and scale,” said Steve Stone, Chief Customer Officer, SentinelOne. “Our job is to help close that gap for customers by putting the most advanced models available in the hands of our elite experts to home in on the areas most likely to be attacked.”
