Alfa Laval Unveils Next-Generation Once-Through Steam Generator to Power Modular Thermal Energy Storage Systems

A major player in the Swedish heat transfer technology market, Alfa Laval, has presented a new once-through steam generator (OTSG) designed to operate in modular thermal energy storage systems that use molten salt as a heat medium. This high-efficiency OTSG is intended for both renewable and hybrid energy plants and is a compact, durable choice for the new generation of thermal storage technology. It flexibly and efficiently converts energy by integrating with renewable energy sources, such as solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, to form a power plant with a capacity of 2-10 MW.
