In July 2026, technology leader Broadcom signed a long-term agreement with global banking group Standard Chartered to help build a “secure, resilient private cloud foundation”. Formed to support Standard Chartered’s critical banking services across 54 markets, the collaboration revolves around VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Broadcom’s private cloud platform, which Standard Chartered will use to standardize its technology infrastructure. Broadcom acquired VMware earlier in 2023, and VCF has since become central to the giant’s enterprise private cloud strategy.
