Broadcom Unveils VMware Private AI Cloud to Connect AI Models to Enterprise Data
In August 2026, Broadcom Inc. launched VMware Private AI Cloud, which is a secure, scalable, and flexible way to bring AI models to enterprise data. It has been built on the software prowess of Broadcom and provides its users with a structured pathway to securely build, run, and govern inference processes, agentic applications, and conventional enterprise operations on an integrated private cloud platform.
This platform provides various choices for hardware, AI models, and accelerators and enables businesses to scale their AI operations affordably, secure their workflows and data, and drive innovation. According to Ram Velaga, president of Broadcom's Infrastructure Software Group, VMware Private AI Cloud connects private cloud and private AI infrastructure. He also said that this platform allows inference and agentic AI tasks to be performed securely, comply with regulations, and keep expenditure in check.
VMware Private AI Cloud resolves 3 AI components that drive costs up, which are: hardware CapEx, process intricacies, and token economics. VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 reduces hardware expenditure through NVMe memory tiering and deduplication of cluster-wide storage. VCF is compatible with CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators offered by prominent companies, and server hardware from leading OEMs and ODMs.
VCF enables users to operate heterogeneous clusters while keeping costs in check and leverages token monitoring, multi-tenant model sharing, advanced GPU/vGPU tracking, and a dashboard that shows AI metrics to optimize token economics and the utilization of resources. VCF allows users to run over 150 open-source and commercial models such as Nemotron 3, Gemma 4, cotomi, Qwen 3.7-Max, and GLM 5.2.

Impact on the AI Industry
According to Precedence Research, the launch of the VMware Private AI Cloud is expected to positively impact the AI industry. Enterprises are rapidly adopting AI models as they want to stay competitive in the market by increasing the pace and efficiency of their routine workflows. This platform provides them with a way to establish a secure connection between their AI models and data while also optimizing and monitoring costs. This development comes at a time when AI is being used for more and more applications in businesses, including generative as well as critical agentic tasks.
Impact on the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) Market
The global enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market size is estimated at USD 20.93 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to reach around USD 592.51 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 39.70% between 2026 and 2035.
According to Precedence Research, the introduction of the VMware Private AI Cloud is expected to benefit the enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market. There is an increasing adoption of automation technologies in various businesses to automate repetitive, non-logical tasks. They usually do not have the knowledge and workforce to guide them on cost optimization and cybersecurity aspects. Complex agentic tasks can consume tokens in large amounts and quickly increase the bills. This platform monitors and displays all the AI metrics to the user so they can watch out if the bills ever go beyond their budget.
Impact on the Digital Transformation Market
The global digital transformation market size accounted for USD 1.49 trillion in 2025 and is predicted to reach around USD 12.53 trillion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 23.73% from 2026 to 2035.
According to Precedence Research, the launch of the VMware Private AI Cloud is expected to positively impact the digital transformation market. This platform provides a secure, scalable, and cost-effective way of connecting AI models and enterprise data. It facilitates the adoption of automation technologies and eliminates the need for enterprises to pay for expensive, comprehensive cybersecurity services. This enables even small and mid-sized businesses to avail the benefits of this platform.
It uses various advanced techniques to optimize hardware costs and is compatible with CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, and AI models offered by various prominent technology corporations. This platform will promote enterprises that do not conventionally have digitized workflows to adopt digital technologies and stay competitive in the market.
