Charge point has unveiled Express Solo, a next- generation is standalone EV charger capable of delivering up to 600 kW of power, designed for mass-market electric vehicles. The system offers faster charging, space-efficient installation, and scalable deployment.

The new standalone DC fast charger aimed at accelerating electric vehicles adoption, the charger can deliver up to 600 kW who is single vehicle, making it one of the fastest charging systems available for passenger EVs, built on the company’s next- generation express charging architecture, these solution combines high power output with a compact footprint, enabling installation in urban areas, convenience stores, fuel stations, and other space-constrained locations.

High-Speed EV Charger
According to the Precedence Research, the global electric vehicle (EV) charger market size was valued at USD 18.87 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach approximately USD 212.18 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 27.38%. Market growth is fueled by accelerating EV adoption, expanding charging networks, supportive government policies, and advancements in fast-charging technologies.

A key advantage of express solo is its flexibility and scalability; the charger can simultaneously serve two vehicles and, when paired with an additional dispenser, can support charging for up to four EVs. The system is compatible with both NACS and CCS connectors through charge points omni-port technology, helping operators survey a broader range of electric vehicles without requiring separate infrastructure. Additionally, the chargers support integration with renewable energy systems, battery storage, and bidirectional charging capabilities through collaborations with Eaton.

Advancing EV Charging Infrastructure.

The launch represents a significant advancement in EV charging technology, addressing the growing consumer demand for faster charging and greater convenience. Ultra-fast charging solutions such as Express Plus help reduce charging times, one of the key barriers to widespread electric vehicle adoption. Its compact design and approximately 40% higher power density compared to conventional DC fast chargers enable easier deployment, optimize space utilization, and lower installation costs for charging station operators, thereby supporting the expansion of EV charging infrastructure.

Industry Impact

The introduction of Express Solo is expected to intensify competition within the EV charging industry while supporting the global transition toward electrified transportation. Demand for high-power charging infrastructure is rising in line with growing EV adoption, particularly across regions such as North America and Europe. By offering faster charging speeds, scalable configurations, and advanced energy management capabilities, ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. is positioning itself to capitalize on expanding infrastructure investments and increasing consumer adoption of electric vehicles. Industry analysts view such innovations as critical to enabling the next phase of EV market growth and improving the overall charging experience.
