India Showcases Telecom Innovation as Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia Inaugurates Bharat Pavilion at Mobile World Congress 2026
As Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurates the Bharat Pavilion at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, India showcases its global technology presence. The event is one of the world’s foremost technology and telecommunications platforms, which brought together global leaders, innovators and policymakers to drive the future of connectivity.

India’s participation at MWC 2026 has been organized by the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC), supported by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
Addressing the media, Scindia highlighted that as the world enters the future of connectivity in the ‘IQ Era’, India stands at the intersection of intelligence and infrastructure where connectivity meets capability and innovation meets inclusion. He noted that the country is increasingly becoming a hub where connectivity, competence, and inclusive novelty converge.
According to Precedence Research, the LTE advanced pro market size accounted for USD 16.60 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 18.59 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 51.56 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 12.00% from 2026 to 2035
Further, the Union Minister emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s telecom transformation has been driven by indigenous R&D. The government has focused on building trusted telecom ecosystems, encouraging domestic manufacturing through production-linked incentives, and deep integration of Indian companies into global value chains. He said that these efforts are positioning India as a reliable and innovative digital partner for the world.
The Bharat Pavilion at MWC 2026 brings together more than 40 Indian telecom innovators representing the entire digital value chain. Innovators are spanning 4G and 5G systems, emerging 6G technology, Open RAN solutions, optical and satellite communications, semiconductor design, AI-driven network intelligence, cybersecurity tools, telecom software and advanced digital platforms. The large volume of participation highlights growing global confidence in India’s telecom capabilities and its rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem.
During his visit to the Pavilion, the Union Minister toured several company booths and interacted with representatives from Anant Systems and GX India, among others. He observed their indigenous technologies and innovative solutions across telecom hardware, semiconductor design, AI-enabled platforms and next-generation network infrastructure, acknowledging their contribution in strengthening India’s self-reliant and globally competitive telecom ecosystem.
