In September 2026, nowBe4 launched email and collaboration security protection for Google Workspace through its Defend product, extending its existing email security offering to Google's workplace platform. The product targets phishing, business email compromise and artificial intelligence-driven attacks in Gmail and related collaboration tools. For organizations using Google Workspace, it adds threat detection, AI-based verdicts and employee coaching. According to KnowBe4, Google Workspace has more than three billion users worldwide, and the new release is designed for small businesses, mid-market customers and large enterprises.

At the core of Defend for Google Workspace is a multi-engine behavioral AI model, which is being trained on KnowBe4's proprietary telemetry of more than 1.15 billion daily event signals and 16 years of behavioral insight. The platform also evaluates messages across multi-layered intent signals simultaneously, catching advanced BEC, zero-payload phishing, and prompt injection attacks that native Google controls often miss.

Every intercepted threat in Defend for Google Workspace becomes an opportunity to build a more resilient workforce. The moment a risky email is detected, the intended recipient receives an immediate, contextual teachable moment notification, turning a potential incident into instant, real-world security training delivered at the exact point of risk. Once a malicious variant is confirmed, Defend for Google Workspace integrates natively with PhishER Plus to automatically hunt down, pull back, and neutralize matching threats across every enterprise Gmail inbox in under two minutes. This significantly reduces a multi-hour SOC containment process into an autonomous, near-instant response.

Impact on the ICT Market

The launch adds to growing competition in email and collaboration security, as vendors all over the world increasingly seek to supplement built-in protections from major platform providers. A key focus has been business email compromise, which often relies on socially engineered messages rather than malware and can therefore evade conventional detection methods. Security suppliers have also placed greater emphasis on training users during live incidents instead of relying only on periodic awareness courses. The approach reflects a broader shift towards embedding security prompts into day-to-day workflows.

KnowBe4 further said that the Google Workspace release builds on its broader digital workforce security business. The company says it is used by more than 70,000 organizations worldwide and provides training, attack simulation, email security and tools related to AI agents.

Impact on the Security Analytics Market

The global security analytics market size was calculated at USD 15.97 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 18.86 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 84.28 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 18.10% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the market is driven by the growing demand for an increasing number of cyber threats, adoption of cloud and digital technologies, and the need for real-time threat detection and incident response. Security solutions provider companies are establishing strategic partnerships with cloud service companies and cybersecurity firms to enhance AI-powered threat analysis. These collaborations facilitate real-time threat prediction by drawing crucial insights from data stored in cloud servers.

AI is also increasingly transforming the security analytics industry by providing real-time analysis of large security data sets to identify threats, anomalies, and malicious activities much faster than traditional methods. Machine learning and predictive analytics help AI detect patterns that indicate possible cyber threats. AI also carries out incident response actions such as segregating compromised systems and blocking malicious traffic. Artificial Intelligence is making security analytics more proactive, accurate, and resilient against sophisticated cyber threats. Companies all over the world are offering digital security solutions and expanding their offering to integrate AI and cloud data storage facilities to enhance data monitoring and malicious software detection. For instance, CrowdStrike has expanded its Falcon platform by improving AI-based security analytics and cloud-based threat intelligence infrastructure.

Impact on the Cybersecurity Services Market

The global cybersecurity services market size is estimated at USD 177.27 billion in 2025 and predicted to increase from USD 188.66 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 328.32 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.36% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the government and private sectors are spending large amounts on cybersecurity systems to prevent cyber risks. Cybersecurity services secure confidential data from BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and government sectors. Instances of cyber threats are rising continuously, raising concerns among businesses. As cyber threats are becoming more and more sophisticated, businesses are actively choosing well-developed security systems.

The use of artificial intelligence is also helping cybersecurity companies address new security risks. Artificial intelligence (AI) allows quick analysis of a lot of data so that anomalies can be noticed shortly after they occur. Thanks to predictions, the organization can act fast and prevent damage or loss. The growing number and difficulty of cyber threats encourage businesses to rely more on AI to avoid data breaches and stay in line with stringent regulations.
