LENZ Therapeutics Introduces New Telehealth Prescribing Option to Improve Patient Access to VIZZ® for the Treatment of Presbyopia
In July 2026, LENZ Therapeutics, Inc., a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the commercialization of VIZZ® 1.44%, the first and only aceclidine-based eye drop for the treatment of presbyopia, announced the availability of VIZZ through a convenient telehealth platform. This platform enables an integrated online evaluation conducted by independent licensed eye care providers, while also facilitating prescription fulfillment through an e-pharmacy and home delivery service.
Accessible via VIZZ.com, the integrated telehealth platform connects patients with a network of independent licensed eye care professionals who will assess the eligibility of patients for telehealth services based on their medical history. Prescriptions are automatically routed and fulfilled by LENZ’s epharmacy partner, developing a seamless consumer journey from initial interest in the product to home delivery.
The launch of this telehealth channel will be promoted in conjunction with the Company’s “Tired of Reading Glasses” campaign, featuring brand spokesperson Sarah Jessica Parker, through a national television advertising campaign and a digital direct-to-consumer strategy.
New Telehealth Platform Provides a Convenient Alternative
“At this stage of our launch, our objective is to ensure that accessing VIZZ is as seamless as possible,” stated Eef Schimmelpennink, President and Chief Executive Officer of LENZ Therapeutics. “VIZZ continues to demonstrate the real-world efficacy that we anticipated, and the telehealth platform provides a convenient alternative for the majority of the 128 million Americans living with presbyopia who may not visit an eye care professional annually. By launching this platform, we aim to remove a significant barrier to product access, offering consumers a safe and convenient method to be evaluated online by an independent licensed eye care professional who can determine the appropriateness of VIZZ for them. We are confident that the combination of introducing telehealth services and our national television advertising campaign will enhance consumer awareness, access, and adoption of VIZZ.”
