Qcells Launches Geli Predict™ to Optimize Clean Energy Systems

Qcells has unveiled a new development in its software ecosystem with the launch of Geli Predict, a new component of its Geli Energy Software platform, designed to address the expanding demands of the community, commercial, industrial (CCI), and utility-scale markets. The newly upgraded platform will provide the industry with new, highly capable energy system designs, performance improvement, and real-time energy intelligence tools. Qcells reaffirms its aspiration to drive the next stage of the digital energy transition and energy process automation by implementing a consistent proportionality between leading-edge software and reliable, hardware-based, and time-tested technology.

The new Geli package incorporates artificial intelligence to simplify the complicated process of handling distributed energy resources (DERs). This problem is rapidly increasing as renewable adoption soars throughout the U.S. electrical grid. Qcells, a company well established in providing end-to-end energy solutions, purchased Geli in 2020 and has since heavily invested in R&D to achieve the maximum possibility of digital energy management. Through Geli Predict, the company is currently providing a strong tool in modeling and simulation that can provide actual performance predictions of Solar + Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and standalone storage systems.

Qcells has systematically added AI-powered functionality throughout the software stack, with over 10 years of development of proprietary algorithms. These advancements enable a variety of market needs, including community solar and microgrids, as well as more complex utility-scale projects.
