SHINING 3D Dental is releasing the compact Ceramix-Nano chairside dental 3D printer. Helping to create permanent dental ceramic restorations in one patient visit. The new system combines print and curing functions in a single machine.

Further eliminating the need for doctors to rely on conventional laboratory workflows to finish digital restoration processes. The solution follows another step to promote rapid chairside dental care in clinics. This is more about introducing digital manufacturing technologies.

The Ceramix Nano is driven by the company's patented Adaptive Pneumatic Stereolithography (APS) technology. It also integrates with the company's cloud-based digital workflow platform called SHINING FLOW. These technologies work cohesively with all the others to allow for the ability to scan and create a restoration design. Facilitate printing and curing all in one connected workflow to make the same-day treatment easier to accomplish. The initial release will be available in North America and Asia only, with subsequent releases planned for the regions.

Ceramix-Nano Chairside 3D Printer

According to Precedence Research the global dental crown remover market size accounted for USD 312.00 million in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 330.41 million in 2026 to approximately USD 553.50 million by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 5.90% from 2026 to 2035. The market growth is attributed to increasing restorative dental procedures and continuous advancements in precision crown removal technologies.

Compact Integrated Platform Accelerates Digital Dental Restoration Workflows

The Ceramix-Nano is designed for dentists with limited laboratory space who need a compact manufacturing solution. The printer is smaller than a regular shoebox and performs both functions of printing and curing all in one. This seamless approach enables clinics to integrate digital production into the workflow in the shortest possible time.

The overall scan-to-restoration process can be done in about half an hour with optimal operating conditions. Typical time needed to produce a digital crown design with the company's SHINING FLOW software platform is less than two minutes. Printing can take 8-11 minutes, while a few minutes are added on for the curing process before the placement of the restoration.

The printer is also integrated with the company's AI Cloud Design environment. Making files exported from the design to the manufacturing environment easier. The consistent flow results in fewer manual file transfers and provides streamlined communication between digital treatment planning and production. The cloud-based platform allows dental practitioners to control restorative treatment, making use of a centralized electronic environment.

Digital Chairside Manufacturing Expands Modern Restorative Dentistry

These evolutions towards digital dentistry are an example of the introduction of Ceramix-Nano. The trend in clinics is to require technologies that can help reduce treatment times and the precision of the restorations performed. Chairside manufacturing system empowers patients' dentists to perform a lot of restorative techniques in the workplace without third-party laboratories.

Dental practices continue to modernise restorative treatment processes become increasingly crucial. The other benefits of utilizing connected platforms include intraoral scanning, cloud design, and automated curing. They are enhancing workflow and minimizing treatment time. These also enhance predictability between diagnosis, decision-making of restoration, and final delivery.

SHINING FLOW is the digital backbone that enables the Ceramix-Nano platform. The launch also heralds increased application of AM in standard dental treatment.  This transformation significantly cuts through workflow disruptions. Further bringing the dental professional the same digital treatment process, no matter what clinical application is used. Furthermore, SHINING 3D has been continuously building its knowledge in the field of high-precision 3D vision technology, boosting the company's presence in the coming years.
