Volvo Introduces ES90 Ultra BEV Sedan with 700 km Range and Advanced Safety Technologies
Volvo Cars Philippines has officially diversified its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the all-new ES90 Ultra BEV sedan. This is an important move in the electrification strategy of the brand in the region of Southeast Asia. The ES90 is a high-performance all-electric sedan that is designed with the versatility of a long-range car. They are designed with the latest safety systems to respond to the changing demands of drivers in the modern context.

The Volvo ES90 Ultra is powered by a single rear-wheel-drive electric motor with an output of 333 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate smoothly and dynamically react to the actions of the driver. The car can accelerate to 0 to 100 km/h within only 6.6 seconds, with performance comparable to normal premium combustion sedans with zero emissions.
Volvo also boasts a notable driving range of up to 700 kilometers on a single charge. The ES90 is one of the longest-range electric sedans on the market currently. This long range greatly decreases range anxiety and renders the car acceptable in both urban commuting and long-distance travel.
The ES90 Ultra includes the concept of fast-charging capabilities that would help to make it more convenient and usable. The vehicle also recharges its battery within about 22 minutes with the assistance of fast charging infrastructure. That helps the vehicle to charge its battery between 10% and 80% within this time. This will be a key benefit in preventing delays during the long journeys and will be in line with the rising proliferation of fast-charging stations throughout Southeast Asia.
The ES90 Ultra launch is also indicative of greater shifts in the automotive industry, where electrification is coming to the center of future growth and sustainability ambitions. Policies and incentives to promote the use of EVs are implemented by governments of various Asian countries. Consumers are becoming more focused on getting environmentally friendly transportation. Volvo is set to seize the increasing demand in the high-end EV market by launching an electric sedan with a high range and rapid charging capability. Furthermore, the launch of the ES90 Ultra will potentially make Volvo more competitive in the international electric vehicle market.
