In August 2026, TrueFoundry unveiled TrueForge, which is an open-source agent harness to enable enterprise teams to develop, execute, debug, and govern AI agents without the vendor lock-in built into many managed agent tools. TrueForge is being presented as an alternative to Claude Managed Agents, and it enables businesses to build on any model or MCP server. It decreases overall agent operations expenditure by 50 percent.

Open-source models such as GLM-5.2 are getting almost as good as benchmark proprietary models at a much lower cost; even then, many managed agent platforms still lock businesses into a single vendor’s models, infrastructure, and pricing. Traditional AI agents exist on personal laptops, inside coding editors, and in prototypes.

The next generation of AI agents have their presence in customer-facing commodities and collaborative operations. In such applications, companies need to manage persistent sessions, execution tools, context, human authentication, debugging, access policies, and spending across every AI agent they operate. The company claims that enterprises would prefer their own layer rather than taking help from a single model provider.

According to Nikunj Bajaj, co-founder and CEO of TrueFoundry, his experience of building AI infrastructure at Meta taught him that control and convenience are not mutually exclusive, and an appropriate platform can offer both of these qualities. Technology teams are still compelled to choose one of the features when they start their production operations. TrueForge resolves this issue by providing next-generation agent development, open source, compatible with all models, with enterprise governance developed at a much lower budget.

Engineering teams can operate TrueForge on their own infrastructure, use their AI models, MCP servers, and API keys, and direct every task to the model that is best suited to their needs in terms of expenditure, latency, and process requirements. The platform ships with assistance for OpenAI, Anthropic, and many more models, in addition to more than 40 built-in features, sandboxed implementation, manual authentication workflows, large-scale context management, and generative UI. The web search in it is powered by Tavily.

Impact on the AI Industry

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the TrueForge platform is expected to positively impact the AI industry. This platform enables enterprises to develop and manage their AI agents without any vendor contracts that come with managed agent tools. This helps them control their expenses and routine workflows better and use multiple AI models for a variety of operations. Such platforms enable even small and medium-sized enterprises to adopt automation technologies in their routine processes.

Impact on the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) Market

The global enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market size is estimated at USD 20.93 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to reach around USD 592.51 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 39.70% between 2026 and 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the introduction of the TrueForge platform is expected to benefit the enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market. It enables enterprises in various sectors to adopt automation technologies, as they can build on any model and MCP server at a much lower cost than managing agents. This development will be beneficial for startups that are working on innovative technology solutions and need tight integration of AI agents with their routine operations.

Impact on the Data Center Market

The global data center market size is estimated at USD 386.71 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 430.18 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 1,103.70 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 11.06% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the TrueForge platform is expected to positively impact the data center market. This platform will enable small and mid-sized enterprises to adopt AI technologies and thus increase the demand for computing resources. This will increase the load on data centers and encourage technology corporations to increase the capacity of existing data centers and build new facilities.
