Vishay Intertechnology has made a revolution in the field of passive electronic components with the launch of the SMDY1 Automotive Series, the first automotive-grade ceramic disc capacitors with a Y1 safety rating in a surface-mount device (SMD) package. The new SMDY1 capacitors have 500 VAC and 1500 VDC rating with capacitance of up to 4.7 nanofarads.
