Palo Alto Networks and NTT DATA Sign $1B AI Security Alliance
In August 2026, NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks announced a multi-year global strategic alliance that is aimed at helping enterprises adopt AI while strengthening cybersecurity, governance and resilience. The partnership combines Palo Alto Networks’ AI-powered cybersecurity platforms with NTT DATA’s consulting, engineering and managed services capabilities. The companies are targeting $1 billion in joint business by the end of 2029.
The alliance can be described as Palo Alto Networks’ first strategic partnership of this kind with a global systems integrator. It will use joint engineering, co-innovation and coordinated global delivery to help organizations assess cyber risk, deploy AI securely and continuously optimize their security environments. This partnership also builds on the companies’ existing collaboration around Frontier AI and will combine Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 threat intelligence with NTT DATA’s cybersecurity expertise, AI governance capabilities and managed services.
Initial solutions will focus on financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and the public sector, with six areas of transformation. These include autonomous security operations centers using agentic AI and managed services to support detection, investigation and response; AI governance covering security and risk management across the AI lifecycle; and identity security covering human, machine and AI-agent identities.
The alliance also addresses Zero Trust and SASE architectures, resilient cloud environments through AI-enabled security posture management, and firewall modernization aimed at reducing complexity and improving visibility.

Impact on the AI Market
The deal brings a security-platform provider together with a global systems integrator at a time when enterprises are trying to add AI workloads without splitting identity, cloud, network and operations controls across disconnected tools. Its practical value will depend on how the two companies integrate those offerings and on whether customers can apply consistent governance and accountability across them.
For security and AI leaders, the announcement is a reason to examine the proposed services against existing control planes, data-handling requirements, incident-response ownership and procurement commitments. It is not evidence by itself that a particular implementation will reduce risk or deliver the stated commercial target.
Impact on the AI in Cybersecurity Market
The global artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity market size accounted for USD 29.64 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 35.40 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 167.77 billion by 2035, representing a CAGR of 18.93% from 2026 to 2035.
According to Precedence Research, several cybercriminal enterprises have already invested in automation, machine learning, and AI to introduce large-scale, directed cyberattacks against companies as the number of threats and the risk of ransomware attacks continue to increase all over the world. The growing number of cyberattacks targeting high-tech firms, defense organizations, and government agencies further highlights the demand for sophisticated AI-driven solutions. Such advancements aim to address evolving challenges in securing sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
AI also plays a vital role in the market by facilitating the proliferation of 5G technology and the rising demand for cloud-based security solutions among small and medium-sized organizations. Artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is currently gaining popularity to secure information. Because end users are anticipated to embrace AI in cybersecurity to address security concerns and spot new types of assaults that can occur at any time, the market for artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is growing quite steadily.
Impact on the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) Market
The global enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market size is estimated at USD 20.93 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to reach around USD 592.51 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 39.70% between 2026 and 2035.
According to Precedence Research, the development of trustworthy cloud computing infrastructures and advancements in dynamic AI solutions for preventative maintenance, consumer behavior research, and the identification of fraud and threats are giving market growth a significant push. Additionally, the market growth is being positively impacted by the extensive product usage among several companies for analyzing and interpreting massive volumes of data. Another growth-promoting aspect is the rising demand for AI in the healthcare sector, which is caused by its capacity to analyze enormous volumes of genetic data and provide more precise treatment and accident prevention.
Enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) integration also serves as a crucial organizational resource for business performance at all levels of the organization. Some businesses use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyze their consumers, spot fraud and other hazards, and use machine learning to take preventive action.
