In August 2026, OPSWAT, a critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions provider, recently opened its first India-based office and CIP lab in Bengaluru, India. Thus making it easier for customers and partners to access local engineering and sales support faster and visit the lab to test defenses against live attack scenarios in IT and operational technology (OT) environments. The office will also provide demonstrations, executive briefings and workshops as well as a meeting hub to deepen collaboration with channel partners and system integrators.

This new facility aims to deliver local engineering and sales assistance, along with a lab dedicated to testing defenses against live attack scenarios in IT and operational technology (OT) settings. Visitors can perform simulations of actual cyber threats, showcasing how OPSWAT's solutions respond to current security challenges. The opening event was attended by OPSWAT staff, clients, prospects, and partners, thus highlighting an important milestone in meeting the country’s evolving cybersecurity demands.

As one of the world’s largest tech hubs, Bengaluru hosts thousands of global enterprises, tech companies and startups. The region also supports several sectors, such as information technology, biotechnology, aerospace and food processing, that require advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect critical infrastructure. The office will also provide demonstrations, executive briefings and workshops as well as a meeting hub to deepen collaboration with channel partners and system integrators.

Impact on the ICT Market

Traditional security solutions, such as early antivirus software and intrusion detection systems, rely on signature-based detection. These systems maintain a database of digital "signatures," or unique patterns, for known malware and cyberattacks. When a file or a network packet matches a signature in the database, the system flags it as a threat. The main limitation of this approach is that it can be reactive. It is only able to detect threats that have already been identified and added to the signature database. Thus, it proves to be utterly ineffective against new, previously unseen threats, often referred to as zero-day attacks.

The location in Bengaluru is the first of its kind, allowing customers to experience simulated real-world cyber scenarios across IT and operational technology (OT). The office will also provide demonstrations, executive briefings and workshops as well as a meeting hub to deepen collaboration with channel partners and system integrators.

Impact on the Cybersecurity Services Market

The global cybersecurity services market size is estimated at USD 177.27 billion in 2025 and predicted to increase from USD 188.66 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 328.32 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.36% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the government and private sectors are spending large amounts on cybersecurity systems to prevent cyber risks. Cybersecurity services secure confidential data from BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and government sectors. Instances of cyber threats are rising continuously, raising concerns among businesses. As cyber threats are becoming more and more sophisticated, businesses are actively choosing well-developed security systems.

The use of artificial intelligence is also helping cybersecurity companies address new security risks. Artificial intelligence (AI) allows quick analysis of a lot of data so that anomalies can be noticed shortly after they occur. Thanks to predictions, the organization can act fast and prevent damage or loss. The growing number and difficulty of cyber threats encourage businesses to rely more on AI to avoid data breaches and stay in line with stringent regulations.

Impact on the AI in Cybersecurity Market

The global artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity market size accounted for USD 29.64 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 35.40 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 167.77 billion by 2035, representing a CAGR of 18.93% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, several cybercriminal enterprises have already invested in automation, machine learning, and AI to launch large-scale, targeted cyberattacks against companies, as the number of threats and the risk of ransomware attacks continue to increase worldwide. The growing number of cyberattacks targeting high-tech firms, defense organizations, and government agencies further highlights the demand for sophisticated AI-driven solutions. Such advancements aim to address evolving challenges in securing sensitive data and critical infrastructure.

AI also plays a vital role in the market by facilitating the proliferation of 5G technology and the rising demand for cloud-based security solutions among small and medium-sized organizations. Artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is currently gaining popularity to secure information. Because end users are anticipated to embrace AI in cybersecurity to address security concerns and spot new types of assaults that can occur at any time, the market for artificial intelligence in cybersecurity is growing quite steadily.

Expert Opinion

“The new Bengaluru office lets us collaborate directly with customers and partners in the region to address India’s growing cyber needs,” said Nith Mehta, India General Manager at OPSWAT. “Meanwhile, the CIP lab lets visitors run through simulations of real-world cyber scenarios, so they can see how our technology performs against the threats they are actually facing.”
